Laura and I spent several hours today going through all the Pookie footage, including shots from my FS100 camcorder, to come up with a basic structure for a featurette.  It started off painfully overwhelming, but quickly took shape into a plan for two distinct videos: "Making Of" and "Gag Reel".  The former is mostly the camcorder shots to be overlaid with audio from the writing session, the latter is all the funny randomness.  Some highlights to expect from behind-the-scenes:

• Samisms:  Close ups of our star preparing for scenes and reacting in character.
• Pill Popping: Endless attempts to record a seamless "accidental" drop into the salad.
• That's What She Said: Final acting moments interrupted by spontaneous laughter and inappropriate jokes.
• Julie dancing the night away.

Pookie in 1080p HDAdditionally Laura rendered a 1080p High Definition MP4 of Pookie that is nearly one gigabyte in size at 906.1 megabytes.  At 1920x1080 it looks absolutely fantastic, but is too large to be handled gracefully in any sense.  YouTube garbles its conversion to Flash video and my PS3 cannot keep up with decoding and playing at the same time.  I can watch it on my laptop fine, but it's not going to be consumable for most people.
